I'm going to write till my hands fall off!” 8th grader, Hope Schools, Milwaukee, WITo give our least privileged students the power to explore their ideas, the skills to communicate them clearly, and the conviction that the world wants to hear them.
Our Method
Since 1994, The Writers’ Express has been teaching schools to use writing to transform the literacy skills of underserved students. Through a highly-structured instructional method, students learn the fundamental behavioral habits they need to focus on the work at hand, the academic engagement required to take their education seriously, and the core writing skills to communicate their ideas clearly and persuasively.
