WEX Authors

The two founders of The Writers’ Express (WEX), Arthur Unobskey and Debbie Reck, have tested and refined WEX’s instructional methods since 1994.

Debbie Reck is a former high school social studies teacher in Lincoln-Sudbury, MA and co-founder and current Chief Executive Officer of WEX.

Arthur Unobskey is a former high school social studies teacher and school principal at Washington Irving Middle School in Boston, MA. Arthur is also a member of the WEX Board of Directors. Two experienced teachers, David Meyers and Debbie Sabin, systematically questioned and reshaped this work to make it more powerful and practical for classroom teachers.

David Meyers is a former elementary and middle school humanities teacher in Brookline, MA and the current President of WEX.

Debbie Sabin is a former high school English teacher in Lexington, MA and the current Director of Training at WEX.
