Skill Building Sequence: The Right Skills in the Right Order
The WEX Skill-Building Curriculum breaks down the complex challenge of teaching writing into a sequence of clearly defined skills.
Teachers put the WEX Journal Sticker inside the cover of every student’s journal and take each of their students through the list of skills on the sticker - one skill at a time. By focusing on only one skill at a time, teachers track each student’s development individually. The sticker informs both the student and teacher exactly what skills the student has mastered, what he is working on at every moment and what he needs to do next.
